Developer Ludomotion and publisher Big Sugar have announced that Unexplored 2: The Wayfarer's Legacy will be launching for Xbox this June, with pre-orders due to go live this week. A procedural open-world RPG adventure, Unexplored 2 is described as a “beautiful but challenging” experience.

In development for more than five years, Unexplored 2 is an ambitious project, and the product of a small team. The game features a unique twist, in that when you die, the world remains, but the passing of time and certain events alter the lay of the land. Towards the end of your quest, you'll either manage to save the world, or fail and see it meeting a terrible end.

Should you fail to save the world, the game will even delete your save, so it's fair to say that the stakes are pretty high. After each run, however, an entirely new world is generated to you discover, with differing biomes, clans, puzzles, and enemies. Unexplored 2: The Wayfarer's Legacy is out on 3rd June for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, priced $24.99, with pre-orders, and a limited-time 10% discount, live from 27th May.
