Developer Bitmap Bureau has released a new gameplay overview trailer for Final Vendetta, its upcoming scrolling beat 'em up, inspired by classic examples of the genre like Streets of Rage, Final Fight, Double Dragon, et al.

Due to launch this June, Final Vendetta will feature timing-based attacks, various techniques to master, and super moves, as well as the ability to duck and dodge enemy attacks by double tapping up or down (sort of like the dodge move in Streets of Rage 3). You can block, kick enemies while they're down, and unleash a range of throws.

Set on the mean streets of London, Final Vendetta will see Duke Sancho, Claire Sparks, and Miller T. Williams teaming up to clean up the streets, criminal underground, and dodgy nightclubs, taking down gang leaders to find the kidnapped Juliette. As well as Arcade mode, you can also expect a Boss Rush, Versus Mode, and Survival Mode.

You can find out more in the trailer below. Final Vendetta launches for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on 17th June, priced $24.99/£22.49.

  • £23?! Nah
  • Agree. After playing Streets of Rage 4 via GamePass, US$25 doesn't sit well for a sidescrolling beat 'em up.

  • Just means we wait for a sale... I never buy games Day 1 anymore anyways. I'm sure we all have enough of a backlog to keep us busy in the meantime, heh.
