It appears that the map for Call of Duty: Warzone 2 has leaked, hot on the heels of yesterday's artwork reveal and confirmed October release date for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Apparently due to release alongside MWII, Warzone 2 will continue the free-to-play battle royale shenanigans, only this time with swimming. Yes, swimming.

“As shown, the Warzone 2 map features a decent amount of water," serial Call of Duty leaker Tom Henderson notes on Try Hard Guides. “Which is because Warzone 2 will introduce a swimming mechanic into the Warzone series for the first time.” You can see for yourself in the leaked Warzone 2 map image below.

Among the map's points of interest is an oilfield, a ‘modern city’, an observatory, harbour, airport, shipwreck, hydro station, fort, and quarry. Activision has yet to officially reveal Call of Duty: Warzone 2 but has acknowledged that a “new Warzone experience” built “from the ground up” is on the way.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 launches for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC on 28th October, with the first details due to drop soon. Presumably, we'll hear more about Warzone 2 around the same time.
