Dialogue for Cyberpunk 2077's upcoming story-driven expansion has leaked online, revealing the plot and location of the DLC, which is currently set for release in 2023. The leaked dialogue landed on Reddit (via VGC), following an alleged datamine of a recent patch.
According to the datamined (and incomplete) files, the DLC will revolve around Songbird, with the story heading to previously unexplored parts of Night City, including the Combat Zone in Pacifica. Seven main missions are said to feature, alongside new fixer quests, world stories, and encounters.
The Sports Dome, which is inaccessible in the main game, will also apparently play host to one of the seven main missions, while Keanu Reeves' Johnny Silverhand could also be making a comeback, albeit silenced by Songbird, which could be due to Reeves being unavailable to record more lines.
Yesterday, developer CD Projekt RED shared an earnings report, in which it detailed how perceptions of Cyberpunk 2077 have shifted since the release of Patch 1.5, and the new-gen version of the game for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 in February. Between now and next year, it's possible that details of the Cyberpunk 2077 “major” story expansion could change, and no official details regarding the DLC have been shared as yet.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC, and has shifted 18 million copies to date. A Netflix anime series, called Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, is also in the pipeline.
