Focus Entertainment and Auroch Digital have announced Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, a 90s-style, DOOM-flavoured single-player first-person shooter coming to Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and PC next year.
Like classic DOOM, Wolfenstein, and their ilk, Boltgun is a frenetic and bloodsoaked affair, offering a hardcore, sprite-based experience, in which your battle-hardened Space Marine will blast a path of destruction through Chaos Daemons and Chaos Space Marines.
"We are delighted to be working on this fast-paced indie FPS alongside the talented Auroch Digital studio, and our long standing partner Games Workshop,” said Focus Entertainment CCO Dessil Basmadjian. "We are excited by Boltgun's skilful combination of iconic 90s style, the Warhammer 40,000 universe, and thrilling gameplay that is sure to delight all kinds of players."
Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun will be heading to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC sometime in 2023. Give the reveal trailer a look below.
