Nacon and developer NeocoreGames have announced that Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr will be making the jump to new-gen consoles later this year, bringing a bunch of enhancements and improvements to the game, alongside all 25 of the previously released DLC and expansions.

Originally released in 2018, the “grim” action RPG set within the Warhammer 40K universe will be coming to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 with native 4K resolution, higher res textures, improved physics and destructible environments, cross-gen multiplayer modes, and more.

The Sororitas class will also be coming soon to Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, introducing a new Inquisitor from an Adepta Sororitas background, with new class mechanics and items types. There's no word on whether existing owners of Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr will get a free upgrade to the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 version.

  • I'm pretty sure Chaosbane upgrade was a whole new standalone upgrade. IIRC you needed to pay for that one.
  • It was. I own both versions on disc, the one for Series X ist the 'Slayers Edition'. They're separate games and have separate lists. If you want both you have to pay twice. Same goes for digital versions. Sad but true.
  • This is Warhammer we're talking about here. Games Workshop would have their mother arrested if she so much as took a stickie note out of the office. Of course there'd be a double dip in charging twice.
