“The Just Cause franchise will remain our IP, and we are at work developing a new title in the franchise,” said Square Enix President and CEO Yosuke Matsuda during a recent financial briefing report (via GameSpot), stopping short of providing any concrete details on the next entry in the series.
Presumably, the game will be Just Cause 5, unless the new Just Cause game is Just Cause: Mobile, which is entirely possible. The last entry in the series was 2018's Just Cause 4, which we felt was a case of diminishing returns. Hopefully, if Square Enix's new Just Cause title is a full-blooded sequel, it can deliver something fresh.
been playing a lot of 2 and 3 lately. didn't care for JC4 at all. gotta get back to the basics...give 5 a simplistic 'Mercenaries' vibe and i'll be happy.
