Halo Infinite Campaign Co-op Test is Coming Early for Halo Insiders

Matt Lorrigan

343 Industries has announced that it will be running a test for Halo Infinite campaign co-op next month.

Players who are part of the Halo Insider program will be able to take part in the Halo Infinite campaign co-op test flight beginning in July. Anyone who wants to take part will simply need to sign up for the Halo Insider program, or make sure their existing Halo Insider profile is up to date.

Halo Infinite's campaign co-op was originally due to launch alongside Halo Infinite Season Two in May 2022, but hit a significant delay along with the highly anticipated Forge Mode. At the moment, campaign co-op is due to arrive in Halo Infinite in full in August 2022, so it seems that insiders will be able to try it out a month in advance, while 343 continues to work out all the kinks.

Halo Infinite is available now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Xbox Game Pass.

  • This is good to hear, but I still think they should have waited until the whole game was ready not just bits and pieces. I have played every Halo made, but lost interest in this really quick. Coop was one of the big draws to playing halo. And god only knows when forge will be ready to go.
  • The lack of co-op has definitely stung. FOrge I can understand waiting for but co-op has been such a core element of Halo campaigns that was such a glaring omission.

Still, I enjoyed the campaign and welcome the excuse to dive back in and do a legendary co-op playthrough with some friends.
