Looks Like Forza Horizon 5 is Getting a Hot Wheels Expansion

Forza Horizon 5 looks to be bringing Hot Wheels back to the series in its first expansion, according to a Steam page that's since been taken down.

The seemingly accidental leak, which you can find archived here, was on the Steam page for the Forza Horizon 5 Premium Add-Ons Bundle. Here, the header image was changed to show not only some of the premium cars available in the pack, but also a second image titled “includes expansion one”. The most exciting part? It has the hot wheels logo, and that iconic orange looping track. Nice one.

Hot Wheels previously arrived in Forza Horizon 3 as an expansion, and proved to be one of the most fun ways to play the critically acclaimed racing game, so we're thrilled to see it making a return. We assume we'll be seeing it officially announced either during the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase on Sunday, or Summer Game Fest later today, so keep an eye out over the coming days.

  • Kind of pointless with dedicated and very good full hot wheels fame now, but they probably have license and want to use it while paid for.
  • Not surprised the useless scum at who made this game can only do hot wheels, Lego or some island dlc for horizon games. More garbage from over paid lazy scumbag programmers
  • @Goggs, how bad was this 'unreleased' expansion when you played it
  • @Goggs Are you okay?
  • I don't understand the hate here. Hot Wheels expansion in FH3 was very fun to play, Lego not so much. But yes, I agree with @1Vinilek, because being Hot Wheels Unleashed recently released 6 months ago this is kind of lazy and pointless.
  • Not super fussed about this. The DLCs are often very good but also overt advertisements for their associated IPs.

Also, someone check on Goggs, for the love of God.
