SEGA has announced that Humankind, the turn-based historical strategy game developed by Amplitude Studios and released for PC back in October 2020, will be coming to consoles this November, with Aspyr handling porting duties.

Humankind has you combining cultures to form your very own civilisation, then rewriting the course of human history. Choosing from 60 historical cultures, you'll be able to lead your people from Ancient times to the Modern Age, from tribal origins, all the way to the early modern era. Each culture has its own gameplay later, for “near-endless” outcomes.

As you face historical events, you'll have moral decisions to make, scientific breakthroughs to accomplish, and tactical battles to fight on land, sea, and air. You can also customise your leader, your avatar visibly evolving as your civilisation grows and develops. You can then take your leader online in multiplayer matches for up to 8 players.

Humankind will be coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 on 4th November 2022, also available day one via Xbox Game Pass.

  • I've been finally gettign into Civ 6 after stubbornly refusing to let go of Civ 5... and I gotta say... I'm not enjoying Civ 6. Anyone knows how it compares to this game?
