Xbox is celebrating the 40th anniversary of Microsoft Flight Simulator later this year with a free expansion adding in classic aircraft, airports, and new aircraft types such as helicopters and gliders.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 40th Anniversary Edition will be a free update for anyone playing the game, either through an owned copy or Xbox Game Pass, and celebrating 40 years since the first Microsoft Flight Simulator game launched in November 1982.
The update will add in classic airports and iconic planes from titles such as Microsoft Flight Simulator X and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004: A Century of Flight, and there will be new additions as well, including highly anticipated vehicles such as helicopters, gliders, and a proper Airbus A310 commercial airliner as well. Finally, Asobo Studio has also partnered with 343 Industries to bring Halo Infinite's Pelican to Microsoft Flight Simulator in a free update available right now. You can check out plenty of the new additions in the trailer down below.
