Capcom has revealed more gameplay and story details for upcoming dinosaur shooter Exoprimal, and announced a closed network test will be held for the game.

Exoprimal continues to look like Capcom's attempt at making a dinosaur game that's as far away from its other prehistoric IP, Dino Crisis, as is humanly possible. There's hordes of what seems like thousands of dinosaurs to take out, which you do in big mech suits, of course.

We also got more details on the story of Exoprimal, and it's not any less mental than the gameplay itself. An antagonist AI appears to have selected you for a live combat test for its new Exosuit, and the danger is very much real. But why are you fighting dinosaurs, then? Well, it just seems like the AI is really into dinosaurs, and who can blame them, especially when some of those dinosaurs come with *checks notes* exploding purple goo on them.

If you can't wait until launch to play Exoprimal, Capcom also announced that they will be holding a closed network test for the game. You can sign up now to take part on the official Exoprimal website here.

Exoprimal is launching on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC in 2023
