Capcom has announced that the new-gen versions of Resident Evil VII biohazard, the Resident Evil 2 remake, and Resident Evil 3 remake, will all be available today, with owners of the original last-gen versions entitled to a free upgrade and the ability to transfer their save data.

All three upgraded titles feature ray-traced visuals, increased frame rates, and faster loading times, meaning you can try each of Capcom's three survival horror experiences for the first time with spiffy next-gen visuals and performance, or revisit them.

Promising “a more vivid, smooth, and immersive experience”, Resident Evil 7 biohazard, Resident Evil 2, and Resident Evil 3 will all be available later today via the Xbox Store for Xbox Series X|S, with free Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S upgrade options. You can check them out in the next-gen launch trailer below.

  • Gonna play re2 and 3 again with that ray trace lol
  • Stupid question but I didn’t see the series x version on the store :(
  • @shane. If you already own it then just install it to your internal drive. It will automatically give you the updated version. Or if you have it on a external then just move it to your internal and it should automatically prompt the update once you try to play it.
