It looks like cult-classic action game Lollipop Chainsaw is set to make a return in the near future.
The Grasshopper Manufacture-developed title celebrates its tenth anniversary this week, and the game's executive producer Yoshimi Yasuda has teased that it is coming back.
“Lollipop Chainsaw is back by Dragami Games. Please look forward to it,” said Yasuda in a tweet.
According to VGC, Yasuda was previously the CEO of Kadokawa Games, which published Lollipop Chainsaw in Japan. Yasuda has since gone on to form Dragami Games (via Gematsu) which looks to be working on this mysterious new Lollipop Chainsaw project.
It's unclear as to whether this will be a re-release, remaster, remake, or sequel for Lollipop Chainsaw. The game was created as a collaboration between game designer SUDA51 and filmmaker James Gunn, although neither has acknowledged Yasuda's announcement as of yet.
