SEGA has released another ‘Speed Strats’ trailer for Sonic Origins, following the previous episode focusing upon the various modes you'll find in the upcoming collection. This latest trailer offers some background on the original Sonic the Hedgehog, first released for the SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis in 1991.
In Sonic the Hedgehog, you'll cross paths with Dr. Robotnik for the first time, as you smash Badniks to release captive animals, and set about retrieving all six Chaos Emeralds by beating bonus stages. Sonic Origins will bring new features to the first Sonic, including the ability to Spin Dash and use the Drop Dash ability from Sonic Mania.
You can also play as Sonic, Tails, or Knuckles across all of the Sonic titles included in the Sonic Origins collection, which launches for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on 23rd June. You can get the Sonic Origins standard edition for $39.99/£32.99, or the Digital Deluxe Edition for $44.99/£36.98, with various extras.
