I blame Pups and Dook for their throwing controllers at walls habit that has caused this worldwide shortage. I mean, what else could have possibly caused it?

Supply disruptions have resulted in a shortage of Xbox Wireless Controllers, Microsoft has confirmed in a statement to VGC.
Multiple retailers around the world are completely sold out of official Xbox Wireless Controllers. European regions (as well as Australia) seem to particularly hard hit, only stocking third-party controllers and the pricey Xbox Elite controllers.
“We know it may be hard finding Xbox Wireless Controllers right now due to supply disruptions,” Microsoft said in an official statement to VGC. “We’re working as fast as possible with our manufacturing and retail partners to improve this. Please check with your local retailer for availability.”
VGC reports that controller stock in the US appears to healthier, with some retailers still stocking new, official controllers. In the meantime, if you're struggling to find a controller in your region, you may have to look into second-hand options.
