Marvel's Avengers' Next Character Could Be She-Hulk

With Jane Foster as the Mighty Thor arriving as the latest character for Marvel's Avengers, tying in with the release of Thor: Love and Thunder, it appears that She-Hulk will be next to join the roster, presumably to capitalise on the launch of the She-Hulk: Attorney at Law Disney+ show this August.

Developer Crystal Dynamics had yet to officially confirm She-Hulk as a playable character for Marvel's Avengers, but during an official Xbox live stream on Twitch, Frank ‘Techniq’ Ellerbe revealed that his acting coach will be providing the voice for the latest hero, much to the dismay of lead designer Brian Waggoner.

"You wanna funny fact about She-Hulk? I don't know if I can say this... I think it was public knowledge? I'll just say this..." said Ellerbe “Uhhh, I don't like the face on Brian [laughs].” Undeterred, Ellerbe continued, despite adding: "Maybe I shouldn't say it!"

He went on, stating: “I think it's public, she announced it. Okay so my acting coach - I act, guys, I'm in the world of acting…” he started. “My acting coach is actually the voice of She-Hulk, and I won't say her name because I don't know if that was public knowledge yet... I think it is? It was announced?”

Waggoner's less-than-enthusiastic response then followed. "Nope, we've never announced She-Hulk."

The addition of She-Hulk certainly makes sense, given how Crystal Dynamics often releases new heroes to coincide with the latest Marvel movies or TV series (with the exception of Doctor Strange). And with She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, starring Orphan Black's Tatiana Maslany in the titular role, due this August, we can presumably expect She-Hulk in Marvel's Avengers around the same time.

In the meantime, you can see which seven Marvel characters - including She-Hulk - we'd like to see get their own games, here.

  • I was a hige supporter for this game but Mighty Thor is literally a Thor clone only light attacks and ultimate move are unique, it would be fine but the fact you can play as the same characters makes it pointless to add clone characters to the game
  • I’ve still enjoyed my time with this game but I wonder why they think this was a good idea when the majority of reactions to She-Hulk haven’t exactly been positive. If the show is as bad as rumoured than congrats on adding a character people aren’t interested in when there’s 100 others with a huge following?
  • @Situation: Only negative reactions I've seen to the show so far is that they didn't make her buff enough. She should hulk up just like Bruce, but they just the actress' skin green. They've basically tailored this game around the MCU though, so it's no surprise. Didn't need a second Hawkeye but there was a D+ show. Didn't need a second Thor, but she's in the new movie. Don't need a second Hulk, but again a D+ show coming.
  • I still debate about getting this. Like, if you have a friend to play with is it worth it?
  • @The Pants Party: Gotta disagree entirely, you definitely haven’t looked at many She-Hulk comments if you think that’s all they’ve complained about. They definitely haven’t catered to D+ at all, both Hawkeyes were in this or announced to be long, long before the D+ show even existed. The game also does Ms. Marvel properly thankfully, she’s actually the way she’s supposed to be and nothing like the D+ show that seriously is nothing like any previous interpretation of Ms. Marvel I’ve seen.
  • @Pants: those are the worst negative reactions. In the comics she doesn't bulk up like Bruce into a giant monster, so why would she in the MCU?

I'm more concerned She-Hulk in game will just be another clone with the same move sets
  • @Chelshock
No. The coop if extremely poorly implemented, almost as bad as Monster Hunters coop.
  • @Zenka The Myth to say Monster Hunter Coop is terrible you're by far the most irrelevant comment I have seen
