Following yesterday's release date announcement, Square Enix has confirmed that The DioField Chronicle will be getting a free demo in August, offering players the chance to check out the opening portion of the game, with save data carrying across to the full game when it launches in September.

Featuring a Real Time Tactical Battle system, The DioField Chronicles promises deep strategy and intense real-time battles, with a “gritty and immersive” storyline, crafted by an experienced development team that includes character designs from Lord of Vermillion III and IV's Taiki and concept art by Final Fantasy XII and XIII artist Isamu Kamikokuryo.

The DioField Chronicle is coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on 22nd September, with a Digital Deluxe Edition bundling the Knight's Spear weapon and Mystical Ring accessory, as well as a digital soundtrack and artbook. Pre-orders will also grant access to the Rhopasto Knife (in an exclusive colour) and Recruit’s Bangle to use in the game.

A limited The DioField Chronicle Collector's Edition Set is also available to pre-order exclusively from the Square Enix Store, bundling a standard edition of the game in a Collector's Goods Box, containing The DioField Chronicle Board Game and a set of four pins. You'll be able to download and play The DioField Chronicle demo from 10th August.
