“The primary goal of the Lollipop Chainsaw Remake project is to make it so that players who wish to play Lollipop Chainsaw can do so easily, not to make a new Lollipop Chainsaw game. Of course, the ideal thing to do would be to make a remastered version of the original game, changing nothing.”
“However, we were unfortunately unable to include sixteen of the licensed songs, which were a great part of the original game's feel, and so we are instead aiming for a remake that is as close as possible to a remaster.”
Yasuda goes on to say that that the game's story will not be changed in the remake, and that the developer doesn't plan on changing the original game's stylised aesthetic.
“The mention of how the game will have a more realistic look in the previous announcement was meant to refer to how we will make use of the advanced rendering technology available in current games consoles,” Yasuda confirmed, with no changes planned to be made to Juliet's design.
Finally, Yasuda goes on to address concerns from some fans that the game will be censored compared to its original release, saying that while they have not discussed the issue with the platform holders, they intend to negotiate to make the game “as close to the original version as possible”.

Lollipop Chainsaw Remake's producer has addressed a few fan concerns surrounded the upcoming game.
Since Lollipop Chainsaw Remake was officially announced last week, fans of the original game have voiced some concerns about the remake's “realistic approach” to graphics, the lack of involvement from original creators Suda51 and James Gunn, and the removal of licensed music, among others. Producer Yoshimi Yasuda has now put out a statement to address some of these concerns.
