Evil Dead: The Game has today received the new ‘Army of Darkness’ update, bringing a new map featuring Castle Kandar, two new weapons, new premium cosmetics, and a new single-player Exploration mode, inspired by the classic third entry in Sam Raimi's film series, to the game.

The new Castle Kandar map, weapons, and Exploration mode are free to all owners of Evil Dead: The Game, while the Ash S-Mart Employee Outfit and Gallant Knight Outfit are available for $2.99/£2.49 each, alongside The Medieval Bundle for $7.99/£6.69, which includes Henry the Red's Scottish Vibe Outfit, Lord Arthur's Battle Prep Outfit, and a Gilded Attire costume pack for the Necromancer Demon army and Evil Ash.

As for the new Army of Darkness map, fans will recognise Castle Kandar itself, as well as locations like the Windmill, Arthurian Outpost, Fort Gort, and Castle Kandar Keep, home to the Necronomicon. The Mace and Explosive Crossbow are also available to add to your arsenal, while Exploration mode will offer the chance to free-roam around Castle Kandar and the other Evil Dead maps alone, honing your skills against roving Deadites.

The Army of Darkness update is out now for Evil Dead: The Game on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC, while The Medieval Bundle is available standalone or with the game's Season Pass 1.
