Dotemu and developer Tribute Games have revealed that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge has surpassed 1 million copies during its first week on sale. A return to the heyday of TMNT beat 'em ups, inspired by classics like Turtles in Time and The Hyperstone Heist.

Featuring 6-player co-op with Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael, and Donatello joined by Master Splinter, April O'Neil, and unlockable character Casey Jones, Shredder's Revenge takes the original 1987-1996 animated series as its touchstone, and sees the gang taking on villains like Bebop, Rocksteady, Leatherhead, and Shredder himself.

Released last month for Xbox One (available via Xbox Game Pass), PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge is not only a barnstorming return to form for the heroes-in-a-half-shell, but, alongside Streets of Rage 4, it's also one of the finest beat 'em ups in recent memory.

  • Loved it. 10/10
  • Hoping for more content / achievements if Dotemu has anything in the works!
  • It's a total blast. I had a couple friends over yesterday and we played through 8 levels. The guys couldn't stay that long, so they're coming back Sunday to finish the game. Maybe we'll tackle the hard arcade mode as well.

I would love Tribute & Dotemu to get the rights to do an X-Men game like the old classic titles. Or hell, a proper Golden Axe.
  • I'm glad this game did well. Needed some good beat'em up type games.
  • Dotemu should do a new 'Cadillacs & Dinosaurs' or a new 'Sunset Riders'. Loved both back in the days.
