Tripwire and developer Torn Banner Studios have revealed that Chivalry 2 has exceeded two million copies sold globally, as the 64-player medieval multiplayer title prepares for future updates, including a new tournament-style Hippodrome map, tailored for mounted combat on horseback.
Showcased in the latest developer diary, the recent Tenosian Invasion update added mounted combat, the new Tenosian faction, and more, joining previous updates that have added the no-weapons Brawl Mode, a selection of Team Objective and Deathmatch maps, and new weapons. There's more to come, too, including the aforementioned Hippodrome map, Tenosian Katar weapon, a new wintry biome featuring snow and ice, and the implementation of cross-play parties.
With Chivalry 2 surpassing two million copies sold across Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, Torn Banner will be looking to provide further support, “expanding the scope” of the game into this year and “beyond”. You can find out more in the new dev diary below.
