The Callisto Protocol Gets Some New Gameplay

We've got some new gameplay of upcoming sci-fi horror game The Callisto Protocol to check out, courtesy of Game Informer.

The new gameplay comes as part of an interview with Dead Space and The Callisto Protocol creator Glen Schofield, in which he talks about how he came up with the idea for The Callisto Protocol while taking time off in the Sonoran Desert. 

Schofield goes on to explain how sketches that he made in the desert eventually brought him to the idea of Jupiter's moons, which then specifically became Callisto. The game's name was apparently Meteor Down, at one point, before becoming The Callisto Protocol.

In terms of new gameplay, we get some good snippets of third-person sci-fi horror action that appears every bit as Dead Space-y as our previous looks at the game, albeit with a bit more melee combat as well, based on a few shots we see. The atmosphere looks great, and Schofield reveals some interesting details about the game's development, so you can check out the full video from Game Informer down below.

The Callisto Protocol is coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC on 2nd December 2022.
