Sniper Elite 5 has today received a bunch of new content, including the new, ‘The Guns of Navarone’-inspired ‘Landing Force’ mission, and a new Weapon Pack, featuring the D.L. Carbine rifle and PPSH submachine gun. Additionally, all players can grab the free Flooded Village map for all competitive multiplayer modes, including No Cross.

Inspired by the aforementioned 1961 movie starring Gregory Peck, the Landing Force mission takes Karl Fairburne to an island off the coast of Southern France, where the Nazis have installed a massive gun battery, set into the mountainside. Keeping the Allies from invading the territory, Fairburne will need to do what he does best, and destroy the installation under the cover of darkness, paving the way for the Allies to execute ‘Operation Dragoon’.

Landing Force's island features a variety of buildings to explore, varying scenery and terrain, with sites of interest like ancient ruins, forts, walls, and abandoned structures to pick through, as well as different vantage points. As for the new Flooded Village map, the Normandy beaches-inspired location includes an array of sniper vantage points, a railway bridge, causeway, and lowlands, as well as flooded houses.

You can get the Landing Force Mission and Weapon Pack for Sniper Elite 5 with Season Pass One (granting access to three further content drops), priced $34.99/£29.99/€34.99, or standalone for $14.99/£11.99/€14.99. The P.1938 Suppressed Pistol, previously available as a pre-order bonus, is also out now for purchase at $3.99/£3.29/€3.99.
