WB Games has today rolled out the MultiVersus Open Beta, opening the floodgates to all players, following a stint of Early Access. The free-to-play Smash Bros.-style platform fighter features a range of characters, several of which you'll be able to sample during the beta.
The MultiVersus Open Beta includes 2v2 match-ups, customisable movesets, and plenty of scope to put together unusual character pairings, like Shaggy and Wonder Woman, Superman and Tom & Jerry, or LeBron James and Morty Smith. As well as co-op 2v2, you can also play 1v1, 4-player free-for-all, and co-op vs. AI matches.
A practice mode dubbed The Lab, tutorials, local play matches for up to four players, and custom online lobbies, with dedicated server-based rollback netcode, as well as full cross-play support, round things out nicely. The MultiVersus Open Beta is live now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC, with the following characters:
MultiVersus is due to launch in full later this year, with more character reveals to come.
