Riders Republic has kicked off its third season of content, aptly named Summer Break, with a special limited time event highlighting climate change.

Ubisoft previously announced that it would be championing the environment with special events in its games, raising awareness of wildfires caused by climate change. This begins in Riders Republic with the special limited time event, Project Rebirth.

Up until 10th August, players are invited to participate in this reforestation event, planting trees in a desert area in an attempt to reforest the region, and using a teleportation point to take them back to base camp. A new mass race, Desert Bloom, will begin for all players in the desert, which will gradually become more full of plants and trees resistant to arid climates, thanks to player efforts.

On 30th July, there will also be an in-game climate march, where players can show their commitment to climate action. After the event is finished, players can claim an in-game Green Game Jam hoodie, or a Sunkeeper electric wingsuit, if they completed the weekly seed collecting challenges.

Finally, at the end of Summer Break, Riders Republic will host an event marking the beginning of the BMX sport add-on, with weekly BMX freestyle challenges.
