RimWorld Console Edition is out today on Xbox One, bringing the popular PC game to consoles for the first time.
Originally released in 2018, RimWorld sees players starting the game with three randomly generated colonists on a randomly generated planet. From here, you'll need to navigate your characters through plenty of problems, dealing with a plague spreading through the colony, or defending it against man-eating creatures. Over time, a story will begin to unfold, driven in part by which AI storyteller you choose - Phoebe Chillax, Cassandra Classic, or Randy Random.
Port studio Double Eleven has worked with RimWorld developer Ludeon Studios in order to translate the game's complex PC controls to the console's gamepad, along with menu and UI improvements.
RimWorld Console Edition is available today on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. You can check out the launch trailer below.
