Today will see a new limited-time event going live in Rainbow Six Siege, M.U.T.E. Protocol: Flesh and Metal running for three weeks with the new ‘Arms Race’ mode, new cosmetic items, and old cosmetics from the first M.U.T.E. Protocol event held in 2020.

Arms Race sees M.U.T.E. Tower taken over by the Brain, and if you eliminate a rival player, you'll gain an upgrade to a new weapon tier. Eliminated players quickly respawn, but are put back a weapon tier before returning to the battlefield.

The main objective in Arms Race is to reach the ultimate weapon tier, to acquire The Golden Hammer, which can then be used to smash the Brain's shield on the map. To aid you in your goal, there are power-ups to collect, and all players have a ‘Power Dash’, enabling them to barge straight through walls.

M.U.T.E. Protocol: Flesh and Metal goes live in Rainbow Six Siege from today, and runs until 23rd August, with the new M.U.T.E. Protocol Collection, featuring new Organics skins, uniforms, headgears, weapon skins, and Operator Card Portraits. A Merging Process Bundle with signature weapon skin, universal attachment skin, charm, and Operator Card Background will also be available.

Flesh and Metal Packs can be earned through completing special Event Challenges, or can be purchased for 300 R6 Credits of 12,500 Renown each. Alternatively, individual Bundles are available for 1,680 R6 Credits apiece. You can take a look at the M.U.T.E. Protocol Reloaded event for Rainbow Six Siege (and Yakuza's Goro Majima) in the videos below.
