EA has announced a multi-year partnership with LaLiga for EA Sports FC, 2023's FIFA entry in all but name. According to the announcement, the deal will enable “both parties to deliver groundbreaking experiences for global football fans,” starting with the 2023/2024 season.
The LaLiga agreement means that EA Sports FC will have all LaLiga competitions, a complete rebrand of LaLiga with EA Sports including logos, graphics, fonts, and other visual elements. New in-game integration and broadcast highlights will also feature, alongside a joint commitment to supporting grassroots footballing initiatives.
Spain's first and second LaLiga divisions will be covered in EA Sports FC, as well as annual youth tournament La Liga Promises, and eLaLiga. “EA Sports FC is committed to delivering the most authentic and immersive experiences in global football. Our innovative new partnership with LaLiga further elevates that ambition and solidifies both organizations' position at the centre of football culture,” said Brand VP David Jackson.
“The visible reach and scale of this partnership is deeply exciting, as is the opportunity to deliver incredible experiences for fans through in-game innovation, interactive entertainment and grassroots initiatives,” he added.
FIFA 23, meanwhile, will be arriving on 30th September, marking EA's swansong with the FIFA license. More details on EA Sports FC will be shared in summer 2023.
