Frontier Developments has released its final behind the scenes video for F1 Manager 2022, following the previous ‘Be the Boss’ and ‘People Power’ episodes, offering insights into your role as Team Principal and driver attributes, respectively. This third episode takes a look at the game's audio.
Titled ‘Sounds of the Track’, the latest video features input from Senior Dialogue Designer Robbie Mann and experts from the developer's audio department, and gives details on the sounds of a typical race weekend. From the roar of F1 car engines to the pitched ‘popping’ of gear shifts, and the rumbling pre-race grid, F1 Race Manager 2022 takes its sounds from real F1 race for an immersive broadcast experience.
You'll be able to notice discernible differences as the location of the game's camera moves, hearing the car react to each turn, kerb, and bump. “This realism-focused approach to sound design also spans environmental factors, such as the weather and the position of the crowd, fully replicating the thrilling sounds of an F1 race weekend, across all twenty two circuits on the 2022 calendar,” the video's press release reads.
Voices of all twenty drivers from the 2022 Formula 1 season, as they respond to race engineers, will also feature, and as Team Principal, you'll be able to use in-race data to influence your drivers' decisions, responding to key events over the radio. Official F1 team radio has also been implemented to ensure that the audio you hear during radio interactions is suitably authentic.
Sky Sports F1 commentary team David Croft and Karun Chandhok will also frame the action, when F1 Manager 2022 launches for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC on 30th August. Five-day early access to F1 Manager 2022 will also be available when pre-ordering a digital edition of the game.
