WB Games and developer Turtle Rock Studios have announced that Back 4 Blood will be receiving its next major expansion, ‘Children of the Worm’, later this month, adding a new playable Cleaner, new enemies, new character and weapon skins, new weapons, accessories, cards, and more.

Children of the Worm will introduce a new story campaign chapter, pitting you against a fierce new threat, an “unknown adversary” which looks like a ragtag cult, armed to the teeth. To take on the DLC's new foes, you'll be able to enlist the help of new Cleaner, ‘Prophet’ Dan, a “gun toting, self-proclaimed preacher of the end times”, and wield an arsenal of new weapons, including the Lockjaw Rifle and Beartrap.

Following on from the 'Tunnels of Terror' expansion released in April, Children of the Worm will also add eight character skins and twelve weapon skins, when it launches for Back 4 Blood on 30th August 2022. The DLC will be available with the Back 4 Blood Annual Pass, Deluxe Edition, or Ultimate Edition, and for standalone purchase. A third expansion is also due to drop later this year.
