Naraka: Bladepoint, the 60-player hack-and-slash battle royale action game released for Xbox Game Pass in June, has received a new campaign mode, dubbed ‘Showdown’, on Xbox Series X|S and PC. Available via a free update, campaign mode pits trios of players against a series of “intense challenges” across two stages.

The first stage of Showdown has you facing hordes of enemies across the map, while the second sees the action culminate in an epic boss battle. Naraka: Bladepoint's campaign mode presents you with four heroes to choose from, with their own powers and abilities, and as you progress, you can upgrade your character with new gear and skills.

With Naraka: Bladepoint accumulating more than one million players within two weeks of launching for Xbox Series X|S, the new Holoroth map will also be arriving in the game on 19th August, adding a new region featuring deserts, snowy areas, and new gameplay affecting features. These include a weather system, new interactive elements, and traps.

Two unnamed female heroes are also on the cards, as is an Xbox One version of Naraka: Bladepoint, scheduled for release later this year. You can check out Naraka: Bladepoint's new Showdown Campaign Mode and upcoming Holoroth map in the trailers below.

  • I was a bit over Naraka in 2 weeks but could take a look at the single-player campaign to satisfy my curiosity.
