With EVO 2022 taking place this previous weekend, today has been full of fighting game news, and now its time Dragon Ball FighterZ to take the spotlight with this latest announcement.

Bandai Namco has revealed that Dragon Ball FighterZ will be integrating rollback netcode. This fan-favourite feature has slowly been added to several high profile fighting games over the past few years, offering a smoother online experience versus the more traditional delay-based netcode, and now Dragon Ball FighterZ will be the next game to incorporate it.

Additionally, Bandai Namco has revealed that Dragon Ball FighterZ is in development for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, and will “harness the power of these platforms to deliver even more breathtaking visuals with incredible responsiveness to player inputs”.

Rollback netcode appears to be coming exclusively to the Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC versions of Dragon Ball FighterZ, although Bandai Namco has promised that players on Xbox One and PS4 will be able to upgrade to the current-gen version at no extra cost.
