Described as a cross between Overcooked! and Studio Ghibli's animated classic, Spirited Away, Onsen Master is an “arcade-style hot spring customer management game”, due to release next month.

Onsen Master features a “short and sweet” single-player campaign, which also supports two-player co-op, with a range of ingredients to combine, in order to whip up cures for your customers' various ailments. Running around hot springs, you'll need to wrangle wandering customers, placing the correct concoctions into the right baths.

If that wasn't difficult enough, mischievous yokai spirits will attempt to impede your service, as they run amok on the island of Izajima. Playing as Mu, apprentice to the mysteriously absent Onsen Master himself, you'll be tasked with restoring balance, and discovering what happened to your Master.

Onsen Master will also include an Arcade Mode, so you can skip the story and dive into one of the game's six hot spring levels; alongside a competitive couch multiplayer mode, in which you'll fight to manage your own customers within the same hot spring stage. You can check out the game in the latest trailer below.

You'll be able to spring into action when Onsen Master launches for Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC on 1st September.
