Yesterday, EA lifted the lid on a collaboration with Marvel Entertainment to bring super hero-inspired Ultimate Team cards to FIFA 23. Today, another batch of cards in the FUT Heroes collection have been unveiled, reimagining certain star players as super heroes.
Among the second batch of FUT Heroes for FIFA 23, joining the previously-revealed Ricardo Carvalho as ‘The Anticipator’, Landon Donovan as ‘The Brave’, Claudio Marchisio as ‘Il Principino’, Park Ji-Sung as ‘Tigerheart’, and Yaya Touré as ‘The Citadel’, is Diego Forlan as ‘Sunstrike’ and Lucio as ‘The Thunder’.
Rafael Marquez has been reimagined as ‘El Kaiser de Michoacán’, while Javier Mascherano adopts the guise of ‘Octo-Boss’. Created and illustrated by Marvel Comics artists, the FUT Heroes cards blend comic book culture and football fandom to celebrate key moments in each players' career, and more FUT Hero cards are set to roll out with the post-launch FIFA World Cup update for FIFA 23.
FIFA 23 will be coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on 30th September. You can check out the new FUT Hero cards below.
