Activision has announced that pre-ordering a digital copy of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will grant one-week early access to the game's full single-player Campaign, as well as early access to the Multiplayer Beta scheduled for September.

In the upcoming Modern Warfare 2 campaign, due to launch in October, Task Force 141 will apparently face “its greatest threat” to date, taking you and your squad on a globe-trotting mission across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Offshore sieges, underwater combat, explosive assaults from 30,000 feet in the air, and stealth missions under the cover of darkness will all feature.

Pre-ordering Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will also offer other rewards, including the Final Judgement Bundle, which includes the Legendary ‘Deathknell’ Operator Skin and Legendary ‘Bloodthirsty’ Weapon Blueprint for immediate use in Vanguard and Warzone. Pre-order the ‘Vault Edition’, meanwhile, and you'll also get Ghost, Farah, Price, and Soap as playable Multiplayer Operators, decked out in special masked outfits.

All four bonus Operators will be playable in the Open Beta, as will the new Gunsmith mode, and the FJX Cinder Weapon Vault, due to be detailed during the Call of Duty: Next reveal on 15th September. The Vault Edition also includes the Season One Battle Pass and 50 Tier Skips, as well as the Ghost Legacy Pack, bundling more than 20 Task Force 141 items for 2019's Modern Warfare and Warzone.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 launches on 28th October, meaning you can play the Campaign from 21st October when you pre-order, alongside Open Beta Early Access from 22nd September. The Multiplayer Beta then goes live for all players from 24th to 26th September. You can check out the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Early Access trailer below.

  • Ever pre-order a game and have no idea what you're entitled to as far as promotions go???

I mean, do you ever smell it???? The bullshit??? Ever considered being apart of the grand experiment instead of the grand experience and NOT buying it just to see what happens.
  • To be honest I don’t preorder games for bonuses but to have game unlocked on the dot at 11pm CST on release night. Whatever bonuses come with it I’ll take it, but that’s not what I’m paying for in the end;-)
  • I'll wait until this along with every other CoD is on Game Pass and play it for free :D
