Planet of Lana, the hand-painted cinematic puzzle adventure from publisher Thunderful and developer Wishfully, has been delayed until next year. The good news, however, is that the game will now be launching day one via Xbox Game Pass. The delay will also enable Wishfully to “fulfil the ambitious potential” it has for the game.
“We’re sorry that completing development on Planet of Lana will take longer than initially expected, but we promise it will be worth the wait,” said Game Director Adam Stjärnljus. ”Planet of Lana has been a passion project for us for a long time, so we want to ensure that when it’s finally available that people are getting it in pristine condition. Plus Game Pass users will get to play it on launch day, which is exciting to us as it means we get to share it with as wide a fanbase as possible!"
Playing as the titular Lana, you'll team up with your cat-like companion Mui, as you embark upon a quest to save your sister. Planet of Lana will be heading to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC in spring 2023, arriving as a Game Pass title on day one. Check out the latest trailer below.
