Three-person development team, Jade Ember Studios, has announced Reliquary, a story-driven 3D action-adventure, in which you explore the ruins of a long-vanished empire. The game is headed up by experience artist Sayre Blake, alongside former Fallout 76 world artist, Cole Larson, and junior animator, Jordan Drucker.
Inspired by games like Hyper Light Drifter, Metroid Prime, and 2013's Tomb Raider reboot, Reliquary will see you fighting your way through a world brimming with monsters, magic, and ancient tech. You'll also engage in “ability-driven” exploration and progression, which sounds a bit metroidvania.
The game will also feature an original score by composer Caleb Faith. Reliquary will be coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC during a December 2022 to February 2023 release window, with Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 versions promised for later in 2023.
