The latest free update for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night launches today, bringing a crossover with developer thatgamecompany's celebrated adventure, Journey. As part of patch 1.4, the gothic side-scroller gains a new location in the Hidden Desert, called ‘The Tunnels’ inspired by the memorable, sombre environments of Journey.
As such, you can expect a majestic desert, rising tapestries, and other design motifs inspired by Journey. As Miriam, you'll also be able to take on a Guardian Dragon boss and earn the Mystical Scarf, resembling the red neckwear sported by Journey's plucky adventurer. The Mystical Scarf will provide Miriam with powerful armour that improves Defence, Int, and Mind, as well as resistance to Fire and Light.
The Journey crossover is available today for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC, with patch 1.4 also providing a selection of bug fixes.
