Lords of the Fallen 2 Revealed With a Metal Trailer and a New Name

CI games has re-revealed Lords of the Fallen 2 with a new name, The Lords of the Fallen, and a rocking cinematic trailer.

Powered by Unreal Engine 5, The Lords of the Fallen takes place over a thousand years after the events of the first game, Lords of the Fallen (yeah, that's not confusing in the slightest). The world promises to interconnected, rather than open, and will be five times larger than the original, with NPC quests, compelling characters, and rich narrative. There will also be uninterrupted online co-op, a feature not included in the first game.

“The Lords of the Fallen is the spiritual successor fans of the original title have always wanted,” said creative director Cezar Virtosu. “The game is significantly larger, with a vast, interconnected dual world split between the realms of the living and dead, that players can explore alone or with friends. It's darker and more challenging, with faster soulslike combat, stronger thematic, richer narrative, deeper RPG systems, and more immersive storytelling.”

The Lords of the Fallen is launching on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. You can check out the trailer down below.

  • I'm a big fan of the first Lords of the Fallen. It's a really fun Souls clone. So this one has me excited. That was a badass trailer. Awesome prerendered cutscene showing off cool art direction and setting up a few bosses. That Witch King mega Nazgul guy looked sweet. Nice use of a well known song too. Love that track.
  • That's the title they settled on?
