Konami has announced that eFootball 2023 is now available for the free-to-play eFootball 2022, offering updated player data and summer transfers, as well as updated quads and stadiums for “the majority of" the game's licensed clubs.

These include a new AC Milan and FC Internazionale Milano in the return of two former partnerships, bringing two of Italy's top clubs to eFootball 2023, replete with licensed squads, kits, and the iconic San Siro stadium.

Liga BBVA MX has also been added as part of eFootball, bringing all 18 Mexican clubs to the game, with player likenesses and the introduction of the historic Estadio Azteca to the lineup of stadia. Individual players have been added, too, including English international right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold and Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandes.

Epic and Highlight cards have also been introduced for eFootball's Dream Team mode, the former revolving around players throughout football history, the latter focusing upon the present 2022-23 season with players currently on top form. With AC Milan and Inter Milan, alongside Mexican side Club America added to the game, new Club Packs for each will also be added for Dream Team mode.

Finally, Trial Match clubs have also been extended considerably, offering 26 clubs to choose from, rather than the previous selection of nine. These include AC Milan, FC Internazionale Milano, AS Roma, S.S.C. Napoli, Club America, and Santos F.C.

eFootball 2023 is now available for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC, with Master League to follow as paid content in 2023.
