Shame there isn't an achievements for this. More than likely though I'd still get it, if only to get more of the story.Wednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 05:34 PM
Good to see decent, low priced DLC. Too bad achievements are not associated with the content.Wednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 05:40 PM
I'm one of the guys in the poll that wont buy dlc for a game if it doesnt come with achievements so i wont be picking this up, good news for the hardcore ac2 fans though.Wednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 05:42 PM
@1 Obviously it's a story in itself but I don't think ithas anything to do with the main story. Half the reason these were cut is 'cause of that, so they were seen expendable! Roll on "I'm not paying for stuff that was meant to be in the game" comments!Wednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 05:44 PM
with a game like this achievements only mean so much. i will for sure get this with or without achievementsWednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 05:44 PM
i dnt care either way honestly i loved assassin's creed 1 & 2 though yes i was dissapointed it wasnt included in the game it still should be very much worth it especially a game as awesome as thisWednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 05:44 PM
Nice to see existing characters re-used in my opinionWednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 05:45 PM
320 isn't bad....but it's too bad it's not free considering that it was supposed to be included in the game itself but was not due to time constraints.Wednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 05:46 PM
#5 Thank you someone who understandsWednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 05:47 PM
I think I'll be getting it regardless of achievements.Wednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 05:50 PM
Definitely getting this even without achievements. Are they still going to release the tombs included in the special editions as DLC?Wednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 05:53 PM
Well since I no longer have to worry about them adding achievements and ruining my one hundred percent on the game, I am going to go ahead and give it back to my friend on friday. Mass Effect 2 is way better of a game anywayWednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 06:09 PM
"I think I may enjoy this mission"!!!!!Wednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 06:12 PM
This game is awesome. It didn't need new achievements in order for me to get this add on. Can't wait for tomorrow.Wednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 06:16 PM
Wow, enough with the "no achievements - no buy" and "it's a rip-off, it should've been in the game already" comments, don't want it don't get it, don't comment... Also, I'd like to say that I'm getting it and will enjoy it (maybe an hour long?) as ACII kicked major ass.Wednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 06:23 PM
@#15- This is an ACHIEVEMENT website. People will more than likely complain about the lack of achievements.Wednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 06:27 PM
Glad there is no achievements as i've traded it :P Great game, loved the story but i'll wait for the third and final game for my next fix. :)Wednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 06:31 PM
#16, this site is pretty much a general 360 site now, not just focused on achievements. They post news or reviews even if they have nothing to do with the achievements, but yeah of course there will be people too concerned about achievements rather than the games themselves anymore.Wednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 06:39 PM
If it didn't make it into the final game in time, and was meant to be there from the start... then why the HELL are they charging for it now? "Here is the missing chapter I didn't have time to write before the book got published. Now fork over money again, kthnx" Why are we taking this shit and making excuses for the man when it comes to video games?Wednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 06:39 PM
i rented this game, got the thousand and was planning on renting it again for the DLC. i don't really care as much without achievements. i'm not sure why, i just don't. it's quite the conundrum. also, i believe the 'cut due to time constraints' argument, is total bullshit, but whatever.Wednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 06:42 PM
oh shit. double post to add to my thought process: i also don't see how a chunk of the middle of the story, is going to expand the story. it's more content, but i was satisfied not knowing what he did for the years in the 'gap'. i just don't see the need for the DLC. excuse the double post.Wednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 06:55 PM
320 points...what a bargin...even if it all seems fishy with the "intent" to make it in the game but will release it later at a cost.Wednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 07:16 PM
Kinda weird.. all other sequences had achievements associated, so I don't know why Sequence 12 doesn't? Even if its updated to 1025 I'd be happy :) Looks good thoughWednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 07:42 PM
I hope the bonfire of vanities gives us the origin of the beard.....Wednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 07:43 PM
"I think I may enjoy this mission" You heard it from Ezio boys, this ones gonna be good :DWednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 07:45 PM
Ok if you get to use the flying machine again it may be worth it, missed that damn achievement :Wednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 07:50 PM
CoolWednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 08:13 PM
achievements or not, more ac2 is always a welcome note form me. loved this gameWednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 08:33 PM
It did seem strange to meet a char, whom you were told to watch out for, and never seen again.Wednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 08:36 PM
I'm excited for thisWednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 08:39 PM
Is it confirmed that there are no more achievements for this?Wednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 08:42 PM
320? done, can't wait.Wednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 09:00 PM
this game is to good to pass up dlcWednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 09:03 PM
Personally, I will not be purchasing this DLC specifically because of the lack of new achievements. I feel that this is content that was intentionally held back to milk the consumer for more money and I will not support that. I strongly urge others to join me.Wednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 09:25 PM
good game good price for dlc shame there is no achievements thoWednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 09:38 PM
Damn, what a time to lose internet access...Wednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 09:39 PM
does this mean i can get the missed achievement with the flyer?Wednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 10:15 PM
why dont people buy DLC is it has no achievements? i mean its not like its going to hurt your completion. It probably will be great DLC...and for a low price!..shame..i dont even own the game ( i really should pick it up) and even i wanna get the DLC.Wednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 10:20 PM
id get it if it had achievments...Wednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 10:21 PM
@#17 - Yeah, I see, but it's more than that now, and some "people" take achievements waaay to seriously, and don't actually appreciate great games, such as this, and quotes around the word "people" because you can't assume they're people anymore as they need to go out there an EARN an actual achievement in real life...Wednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 10:22 PM
Damn, I wish I had my own 360 (and a copy of AC2). I'd definitely pick this up. Even though there aren't any achievements, I guess it gives those who missed the "Fly Swatter" achievement the opportunity to pick it up in this sequence.Wednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 10:26 PM
How do we know it doesn't have achievements?Wednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 10:51 PM
@42 It was confirmed that this DLC doesn't have any, Read it here: http://www.xbox360achievements.org/news/news-4245-This-Week-s-Assassin-s-Creed-2-DLC-Won-t-Have-New-Achievements.html Also it doesn't mean the 2nd DLC won't have achievements.Wednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 11:33 PM
Content is cut from games all the time, they likely wouldn't have completed this if they weren't going to charge a tiny sum for it, similar to the Gears deleted scene. But yeah, if you've played enough games, and researched, you'd know that shit gets cut all the time. They obviously paid the guys to keep working on it.Wednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 11:41 PM
PROS: Cheap Cons: NO achievementsWednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 11:54 PM
The content is already available @ the marketplace since 1/18/2010: http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/games/offers/0ccf0001-0000-4000-8000-00005553083bThursday, January 28, 2010 @ 12:26 AM
This game was totally overrated, much like the majority of the '09 Winter release schedule. TEKKEN 6 im looking at you.Thursday, January 28, 2010 @ 12:30 AM
i remember a time when people played a game beacuase it was fun not just for virtual points.Thursday, January 28, 2010 @ 12:36 AM
@#48 I almost agree, except that back in those days, they didn't charge you extra cash for an extension of the game.If I pay money for a (usually short) bit of extra gameplay, giving away virtual points, which cost the company nothing, should be included.Thursday, January 28, 2010 @ 12:45 AM
if its a good game i dont give a shit about achievement points. sure it'd be a nice bonus but nevertheless i'd still get the content if it was any good.Thursday, January 28, 2010 @ 01:54 AM
I'm gonna miss, not because of no achievments but the fact ubi deliberatly toke both the DLC out of the game just to get some extra cash.Thursday, January 28, 2010 @ 02:03 AM
its lower then other dlc if they were trying to make money they would have it normal price and sequence 12 was meant to be damaged it was part of the story in the game this is letting us go back as it isnt vital but good to repair it ur a complete prick dudeThursday, January 28, 2010 @ 02:31 AM
achievements or not, I'm still getting this. And for 320 msp, it's a steal :)Thursday, January 28, 2010 @ 02:35 AM
I'm waiting until both of the DLC is released so I only have to rent this game once (since the first time I beat the campaign)Thursday, January 28, 2010 @ 03:39 AM
I wasn't going to get this DLC cause there's no cheevos, but I think thetrailer'sjust changed my mind.Thursday, January 28, 2010 @ 04:09 AM
Gonna buy this achievements or notThursday, January 28, 2010 @ 04:54 AM
was gonna get this day one, but since theres no achievements, now im not so hasty, which means more £££ in my pocket =DThursday, January 28, 2010 @ 05:01 AM
ummmm wtf The Battle Of Forli is up..... but it says it costs 99999 MS Points?! lmao :PThursday, January 28, 2010 @ 05:08 AM
sorry about the double post but they're charging ppl for something "that they didnt have enough time to put in"? seriously? that is f***ing bullsh*t that is one of THE most blatant lies I have ever heard. If im gonna get this I'll just wait for both and get them at the same time.Thursday, January 28, 2010 @ 05:59 AM
The best game of Xbox360 in my opinionThursday, January 28, 2010 @ 07:03 AM
It's too bad it doesn't have an achievement, as I would of got it right away. But since it doesn't, it'll have to wait till I'm done with mass effect 2 and darksiders.Thursday, January 28, 2010 @ 07:20 AM
for some friggin reason someone at MS thought it would be funny to set the MS points price to 99999. This is why MS fails, do I have to remind people of the Mass Effect 2 free DLC launch on monday? Stupid MS employees.Thursday, January 28, 2010 @ 07:28 AM
For the people having the "99999 MS points" problem, i had the exact same problem, just go to the xbox.com website and download it from the marketplace there,it's up as just the 320 points over thereThursday, January 28, 2010 @ 07:43 AM
no it isn't. On xbox.com it's the same bull.Thursday, January 28, 2010 @ 07:53 AM
Ya, I am getting the same problem. Guess I will have to wait a little bit longer. Not spending 99,999 for it...Thursday, January 28, 2010 @ 07:54 AM
DLC is up now, but it has a cost of 99999 MS points...hopefully its fixed soon. I cant wait!Thursday, January 28, 2010 @ 08:00 AM
99,999? BARGAIN for something that should have been in the game anyway :D *fills in card details*Thursday, January 28, 2010 @ 08:16 AM
Hold on, no achievements? Does the second DLC come with achievements? Because if not, I love the game, but I already know the beginning and the end. Quite honestly I don't see the point for the middle.Thursday, January 28, 2010 @ 08:18 AM
YAY can't wait for this. Love the Assassins creed games!Thursday, January 28, 2010 @ 08:42 AM
um so yea i signed on just now and the DLC is listed at 99,999 MS POINTS LOLThursday, January 28, 2010 @ 09:16 AM
price is fixed now.Thursday, January 28, 2010 @ 10:09 AM
Who cares that it has no achievements. This is AC II people. If your soul purpose in getting DLC is for new achievements, you're pretty sad.Thursday, January 28, 2010 @ 10:12 AM
kinda lame this wasnt in the actual game was wondering what the deal with the gap was =/Thursday, January 28, 2010 @ 11:11 AM
just finished it, it was really easy and there was only a few missions. and it cut the story at the endThursday, January 28, 2010 @ 01:02 PM
Is that other article on Bioshock not evidence enough to you guys that content gets cut from video games all the time, just like movies? Movies that then release 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc. editions just to get you to buy it for deleted scenes and other unnecessary but still completed additions or improvements?Thursday, January 28, 2010 @ 01:02 PM
Hmm 320 points for a DLC I'd probably beat in less than an hour with no achievements...no thanks!Thursday, January 28, 2010 @ 07:24 PM
It's not a bad piece of DLC in all regards even without the achievements its still worth what you paid for it. And technically you can get the flying machine achievement if you haven't got it already. But if you're like me who loves Assassin's Creed for the story definitely pick it up its pretty good I thought

As it’s becoming more and more of a trend, tomorrow’s piece of downloadable content for Assassin’s Creed 2, The Battle of Forli, got its very own launch trailer today – it says something about the importance of DLC if you ask me.
The Battle of Forli, which looks to fill in the blanks that were missing from the game for sequence 12, is landing on Xbox Live tomorrow for the low-low price of 320 Microsoft points.
The episode in question failed to make the final game due to time constraints and sees Ezio head back to Forli to assist Caterina Sforza against some unwanted visitors. Uh oh!
Check back this weekend/early next week for our official word.
