Images of what could be Bloober Team's rumoured Silent Hill 2 remake have seemingly popped up online, revealing alleged screenshots of what's said to be an internal pitch made to Konami, dating back to 2018. The pics have been doing the rounds on social media, and have been corroborated by various sources.
“These are from an internal pitch demo from Bloober before they got greenlit, so it’s literally a no-budget proof of concept thing,” said insider Dusk Golem on Resetera (via VGC),. “This isn’t actually what the final game looks like,” he added, explaining the low blur-o-vision quality of the shots.
In addition to the rumoured Silent Hill 2 remake, Annapurna Interactive is also said to be overseeing a developer putting together an episodic Telltale Games-style Silent Hill project, featuring a series of “short stories” from the titular town. It's also thought that the Silent Hill 2 remake could be a timed PS5 console exclusive, also coming to PC, with reworked puzzles and AI, and two new endings.
Whether the same will be true for Annapurna's rumoured Silent Hill project, is unknown. Whatever the case, it's possible that Konami could be lifting the lid on one or both of its Silent Hill projects during TGS 2022, due to take place from 15th September. Although it's equally possible that we'll hear bugger all.
