With this weekend playing host to the next Ubisoft Forward, which, among other things, promises a look at the future of Assassin's Creed, rumours abound that not only will we be getting a first look at the Baghdad-set Assassin's Creed Mirage, but also “several” other Assassin's Creed titles.

Two of these games will apparently form a part of Assassin's Creed Infinity when it launches in 2024, and include one codenamed Assassin's Creed Red, a title set in feudal Japan. The other is reportedly under the working title of Neo or Hexe, and is said to be set during the Holy Roman Empire's witch trials, according to a report from Bloomberg.

Red is supposedly being developed by Ubisoft Quebec, while Neo/Hexe is in the works at Ubisoft Montreal. Should the Bloomberg report prove accurate, Red and Neo/Hexe will be joining the Assassin's Creed Mirage reveal during Ubisoft Forward on Saturday 10th September, alongside other possible announcements.

  • I hope to go the Japan one uses Valhalla gameplay and not revert to the old ways
  • I love what they did with series past 3 games too. We’ll maybe except for assasination not actually killing higher level enemies. Stealth should have its own rewards imo… Here is to hoping they keep on going that at though. Can Kyd make better music then Ghost of Tsushima though? I have high hopes:-)
  • The last time they started rushing out these games, they needed to take a break and "reimagine" how they would build them. Lessons learnt very well as they get ready to announce 3 at once.
