Marvelous Inc. has announced that Loop8: Summer of Gods, a “coming-of-age” RPG tale set during the '80s, will be coming to Xbox One, PS4, Switch, and PC early next year. Set in the sleepy Japanese town of Ashihara in 1983, Loop8 has you playing as Nini, who alongside his classmates, attempts to defeat demonic foes known as the Kegai.
With humanity being pushed to the brink of extinction by the Kegai, you'll leave the confines of failed space station ‘Hope’, journeying back to Earth to spend your summer in the human sanctuary of Ashihara. Using his ‘Demon Sight’, Nini is able to make a special connection to the gods, resetting the world and using each loop to relive the same August month repeatedly, until they're able to defeat the Kegai once and for all.
Loop8 counts the likes of Grandia's Yoichi Miyaji as senior producer among its ranks, as well as ‘Touken Ranbu’ game designer Yuri Shibamura, ‘Sword Art Online’ character designer Shingo Adachi, ‘Kizuna Ai’ character designer En Morikura, concept artist Kitsuneiro, mascot character designer Ryudai Murayama, and ‘Ace Attorney’ composer Noriyuki Iwadare.
Building bonds with Ashihara's residents, you'll protect the town from demons, make crucial choices, and unlock multiple endings. Loop8: Summer of Gods is coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC in spring 2023.
