Tales of Symphonia is getting remastered for Xbox One, Bandai Namco has announced.

The cult classic GameCube RPG is making its way to modern consoles next year, allowing players to return to the land of Sylvarant, on a quest to help the Chosen One restore the dying world.

“Our goal with Tales of Symphonia Remastered is to introduce this beloved entry in the series to a whole new generation of fans,” said brand manager Summer Nguyen. “We’re aiming to deliver an experience that’s true to the original yet engaging to a whole new audience of players with enhancements that update the game visually and add new gameplay enhancements.”

Tales of Symphonia Remastered is coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch in early 2023. You can check out the trailer from yesterday's Nintendo Direct down below.

  • So in 2013 on ps3 we got both tales of symphonia games on a newer console, and game devs have deteriorated so much that in 2023 they only have the ability to push one of the two out on a newer console. Sigh
  • @1, It's more like, companies learned a while back that they can give people less and make them pay more because so many clowns accepted that ideology by actually paying more for less.
  • @1 the second one was not good anyways. Excited to play this again though.
  • @Situation the 2nd one is probably the worst Tales of. Game ever made so no loss honestly and if it's one of them "I want it for the story" then Phantasia is also needed then
  • @scardo I didn’t know that, only played this one and got distracted so never got around to the follow up.
  • @Situation You dodged a bullet then lol
  • The only thing I really liked about the game was the skit that Lloyd told Genis that he was into older woman, told him not to tell, and Genis of course told everyone, and the reactions was great. Other than that, the game was bad. Side quests were constant repeat dungeons and u had to catch monsters for your party, aka a bad version of pokemon, lol.
