Cyberpunk 2077 has brought in over one million daily players in recent days, developer CD Projekt has announced.

Following the launch of the critically acclaimed Studio Trigger Netflix series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, as well as the release of the Edgerunners update for Cyberpunk 2077, the game is currently pulling in one million players per day since Monday, including both new and returning players.

“Each day of this week Night City has been visited by 1 million players, both new and returning. We wanted to use this opportunity to thank you for being with us and playing the game,” said the statement from CD Projekt

This is quite the turnaround following the much-maligned launch of Cyberpunk 2077 in 2022. However, following nearly two years worth of updates, and the new focus on current-gen consoles, it seems that the game is finally beginning to live up to its potential. There's even a brand new expansion, Phantom Liberty, coming in 2023, although it won't be coming to Xbox One.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available now for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC.

  • The game is great, one of the sci fi greatest, no doubt about it, but at the same time once you’ve put in the hours and saw all there is to see, that’s just it.

Not like it’s a bad thing for me. I love shorter more focused games and this one has perfect balance feels like.
