Netflix has offered a first glimpse at its anime series based upon Onimusha, the fantastical samurai action game from Capcom, first released for PlayStation 2 in 2001.
The series is created by Ichi the Killer director Takashi Miike and anime stusio Sublimation's Shinya Sugai, with protagonist Musashi Miyamoto (based upon a real-life samurai) will be modelled after Toshiro Mifune.
Mifune is a legendary Japanese actor who starred in more than 150 films, including a sixteen-film collaboration wit samurai movie auteur Akira Kurosawa between 1948-1965, which includes classics like Seven Samurai, Yojimbo, and Throne of Blood.

@1 I think the Dragon's Dogma sequel got announced around a similar time to the Netflix anime show, and that shit was trash.
I don't hold out high hopes for this being a good show (Capcom's anime adaptations have a questionable history) but if it means more Onimusha then I'm all for it.
