Ubisoft has announced the fourth Crisis Event for Rainbow Six Extraction is now live, the “thrilling culmination” of the last three Crisis Events, following August's ‘Eclipse’ chapter, and the previous 'Spillover' and 'Nightmare Fog' events. Titled ‘After Effect’, this new limited-time event adds a new enemy, new REACT tech, and new cosmetic rewards to unlock.

Operators will have to seek out the “invaluable” Parasite Nucleus during the After Effect Crisis Event, carrying it and using its power, as you navigate new and deadly Amber Sprawl. While carrying the Nucleus, you can use the powerful Death Marker against enemies and Parasite structures, while squadmates will be able to instantly eliminate marked enemies via any damage source that hits them after being marked.

However, the Operator carrying the Nucleus will have their vision impaired by “blinding exposure”, with the effect increasing over time until you drop it or rach 100% exposure level. The carrier's speed and mobility are also greatly reduced, and you can only use the new ‘Repulsion Harness’ REACT tech to defend yourself. You'll need the protection of the rest of the squad as they escort you out of the containment zone.

Meanwhile, the Amber Sprawl will slow you down and inflict damage as you walk through it, meaning you'll need to destroy it and clear a path. You'll also have the new Protean Finka enemy hampering your progress, but should you succeed, you'll earn extra Milestone Progression XP, unlock a new headgear item, uniform, charm, and weapon skin, as well as five themed charms. There are also five new Crisis Studies to complete.

The After Effect Crisis Event is live now in Rainbow Six Extraction on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Luna, and PC, until 17th November.
