Damn it, I bought the Borderlands DLC on Tuesday and Hydrophobia on Wedensday... that'd have put me up to 2000 already. :( Now all that's left for me to pick up is Comic Jumper and the Alan Wake DLC, which isn't enough for rebate. I'm not sure I believe this bullshit as I never got the 400 MS points I was supposed to receive for purchasing 3 of the 5 summer games. The deal was buy all 5 and get 1200 points, or buy any 3 and get 400 points. I've been waiting and the disclaimer said I'd have mine by September 30. one question, does the european content for Mushihimesama Futari 1.5 "Black Label" count as cut-price content or ever was/ is at the moment? cause its 1200 ms Points so i could spend that and Hydrophobia, get 800 points back and could possible spend them on Alan and trial. This is the deal breaker for Comic Jumper I needed... I hate that almost every XBLA game is 1200 points no matter how good or crappy it is. Yes there are games worth 1200, but most aren't. Though with everything I have read/seen on Comic Jumper I believe this one was worth it tho. Along with a couple other titles I have been considering I can easily spend the required 2400 points On a down note I purchased the new 800 point dlc for Borderlands last week. There are a lot of great games and add-on content on the Xbox Live Marketplace at the moment and there's plenty more to come this month. In all likelihood, you might spend a lot of your Microsoft Points on these games and add-ons anyway, so here's a rather nice little offer that Microsoft has introduced for October (that's this month) as a thank-you.
If you spend 2400 Microsoft Points on anything other than Deal of the Week or cut-price content, you'll earn 800 Microsoft Points back, which is a nice little incentive for you to sign in and spend a few points. Goodness knows there's more than enough to fritter your money away on.
Just buying two 1200 MSP games could earn you enough to buy Sonic Adventure or Scott Pilgrim, for instance. You could almost think of it as a 3 for 2 on XBLA games where the cheapest game is free, if you like. Except the offer also applies game add-ons, so the analogy falls down... Forget it. Maybe nab the new Borderlands DLC, DeathSpank: Thongs of Virtue and Dead Rising: Case Zero for your 800 Point rebate. That'd work.
Here's the small-print, and don't forget, discounted and DotW stuff doesn't count:
